The SSC Stenographer written exam comprises 200 questions from sections like General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness and English Language. There shall be a negative marking of 0.25 mark for each incorrect answer in the exam.

Clearing the cut off marks in the respective category is mandatory to get shortlisted for the next round. As the official cut-off is yet to be announced, the minimum qualifying marks for the written exam is shared below.

What Next After the Result?
After the declaration of SSC Steno Result 2025 all the qualified will be called to appear in the Skill Test. The Skill test is mandatory but qualifying in nature. The candidates who will qualify skill test shall be considered for the final selection based on their merit in the computer-based examination.
